All UT students are invited to the annual local programming contest organized by UPE and sponsored by Amazon.com and conducted by the UT Programming Club. So here are the details:

The prizes, sponsored by Amazon.com, are:

1. prize: Asus EEE PC
2. prize: Flip Camcoder
3. prize: iPod Dock

T-shirts and other swags might be available for the other top performers.

Free dinner will be provided at the end of the contest and there will be some free snacks available for the duration of the contest.

The top 9 eligible** competitors would be selected to represent UT at the regional collegiate programming competition at Baylor University in mid October and they might then get selected to later represent UT at the world finals in Stockholm, Sweden in March 2009.

The top 9 competitors are also invited to a lunch with Amazon.com on September 7th.

This contest is open to all students at UT - undergraduate, masters, PhD and to all majors.
